Thank you to our Viking students and parents for making the best of e-learning this week. We all have our own opinions and, at times, frustrations, but your efforts and support mean so much to us. BRV is truly a special school corporation with an incredible community.

I also want to take a moment to thank Sam Parmley and our maintenance staff, who have done an outstanding job clearing our parking lots and sidewalks.

We are excited to see our students tomorrow! I will continue to monitor the roads and temperatures throughout this evening and tomorrow morning and will update you with any changes.

Blue River Valley Schools will operate on a Synchronous E-Learning Day tomorrow, January 29, 2026. Students should follow the same Google Meet schedules used on Monday and Tuesday. All junior high and elementary practices, games, and events are canceled for tomorrow.

To allow our students the opportunity to fully enjoy Homecoming activities in person, we have decided to postpone Homecoming. The tentative new date for Homecoming is February 20th. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Blue River Valley Schools will operate on an ASYNCHRONOUS E-Learning Day tomorrow, January 28, 2026. This will be our 2nd asynchronous e-learning day for the year. Teachers will have assignments posted in Canvas by 9:00 AM tomorrow. We will not have live virtual instruction tomorrow, but teachers will be available throughout the day for assistance as needed. All junior high and elementary practices, games, and events are canceled for tomorrow.

Blue River Valley Elementary conducted their annual Spelling Bee this morning. The Spelling Bee went 15 rounds, and the winning word was "democracy". Runner-up was 4th grader Sammy Coffin, and Spelling Bee Champion was 6th grader Lukas Satterfield. Lukas now moves on to the Regional Spelling Bee at Ball State University March 7 at 10:00 am. Fantastic job to all of our Super Spellers!
