Today we’re celebrating our Champions of the Tray! It’s School Lunch Hero Day, and we’re recognizing the cafeteria teams who show up every day to keep students fueled and ready for the school day. Join us in the cafeteria to celebrate with Kristina, Deb, and Mariah!

Today, we recognize the incredible dedication of our school bus drivers! 🚌 They are the first to greet our students each morning and the last to send them home safely each day. Rain or shine, they show patience, care, and commitment to our school community. We appreciate all you do to keep our Vikings safe!

Tonight is our Big Idea Event from 5:30–7:00 PM for all BRV families. Please enter through the elementary cafeteria doors. We have something for every family, including ham, spaghetti, peanut butter and jelly, fresh produce, pancake mix and maple syrup, toilet paper, and more. This is completely free, and the only requirement is that you belong to the BRV community. Strong community participation helps us continue to offer events like this for our families. We look forward to seeing you this evening!

Proud moment for Blue River Valley Schools! Last night, our Board of Education earned the Level 2: Advanced Exemplary Governance Award for 2025 from the Indiana School Boards Association. This award recognizes school boards that go above and beyond by putting in extra time to learn, grow, and make strong decisions for our school corporation. This kind of dedication makes a difference, especially in a small, rural school district like ours. Today, Mrs. Walradth and Mrs. Dickerson were invited to the Indiana Department of Education’s Literacy Achievement Celebration at the State House!

This celebration recognizes schools with at least a 95% passing rate on the 2025 IREAD, and BRV is proud to share that we had an incredible 97.2% in 2025! 🙌

This success belongs to our amazing students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families who make BRV such a special place every day. 💙❤️

🚜💻🩺 BRV Pathway Day = Hands-On Learning at Its Best! 🎉 Today, our 5th–8th graders dove into BRV’s career pathways through interactive, student-led experiences! High school students and teachers guided rotations through Precision Agriculture, Agriscience, Ag Mechanics & Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, and Biomedical, bringing each field to life. From flying drones and shearing sheep to programming robots to plant sunflowers, identifying blood types, and pitching LEGO business ideas. Students got a true hands-on glimpse into real-world careers. Not only did our younger students discover new interests, but our high schoolers stepped up as leaders, mentors, and role models. Watching them teach, guide, and inspire was incredible! The future is bright at BRV and it starts with opportunities like this! ✨

This afternoon, a student experienced a medical concern while riding one of our buses. An ambulance responded to the scene to assist, and the situation was addressed quickly. The bus was able to finish its route.

Thank you to our students and bus driver for their quick response and assistance. We appreciate everyone working together to help ensure the safety of all students.
